Promotor: Prof. Dr. Ivan Toni, Co-promotor: Dr. Floris de Lange; Research question: What is a mental Image? In this project I have studied the role of early visual cortex during visual mental imagery. Using multivariate (forward modelling, decoding with SVMs, representational similarity analysis) and univariate methods to extract information from large fMRI and MEG datasets, I have investigated how and when early visual cortex contains mental representations. During this project I have also supervised several master students during their masters internship, developed a writing course for PhD students and taught in several bachelor's courses.
