Led the inception and implementation “Adult Ministries Resource Bundle” concept; converting the Adult Ministries Newsletter titled, “Festival of the Laity News Online” into an online toolkit designed to provide informational resources to the Adult Ministries community (union and conference leaders, church officers, and volunteers). Manages the editorial review and dissemination of the resources included in the “Bundle”, the resources are presented as articles, quotes, or a link(s) to ministry resources such as Resource Guides at AdventSource or Sabbath School Toolbox on Adventistbookcenter.com, etc. There is one resource segment assigned per ministry (Personal, Prison, and Sabbath School). The NAD Adult Ministries audience can subscribe to the webcast and the, “Adult Ministries Resource Bundle”, via the link provided routinely via the Mailchimp messages and the NAD Adult Ministries YouTube Page. The Adult Ministries Resource Bundle is mass emailed via Mailchimp and shared to our social media platforms every second and fourth Monday to an audience of over 4,000 recipients.
Soprano, Anika Sampson-Anderson was born in Maryland. Her interest in music peaked under the tutelage of Dr. Nevilla Ottley and vocal training began with Dr. Lloyd B. Mallory Jr. at Pine Forge Academy in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania. Her musical training continued at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Ms. Sampson-Anderson has performed for prayer services in the presence of President William Clinton and Chaplain of the U.S. Senate, Rear Admiral Barry C. Black. Ms. Sampson-Anderson has also recorded with GIA Publications (2003-2009), The Metro Singers (2003), The Lloyd Mallory Singers (2011), The R.E.A.DY. Project (2013), the Love Me Scripture Song Series (2017) and on the album Both Sides Now, by the a capella group Naturally 7 (2018). In 2017, Ms. Sampson-Anderson was a featured soprano soloist for two performances of “All Rise”, with Wynton Marsalis at the Strathmore in North Bethesda, Maryland and Love at Work, Ten Commandments Musical at the Schuster Theater in Columbus, Ohio. December, she returned as soloist for Alfred Street Baptist Church’s annual Christmas program at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall performing “Gabriel’s Message". And she performed the soprano solos for Handel’s Messiah at two local churches. In 2018, Ms. Sampson-Anderson performed an arrangement of Charles Tindley's, “Someday (Beams of Heaven)” for the Giving Pledge Dinner at the Smithsonian’s Museum of History and Culture, performed with Darin Atwater and Soulful Symphony and was featured on “Going Home” with jazz trio, a modern take on a melody from Dvorak’s New World Symphony and presented three songs from “I Hate Music”, A Cycle of 5 Kid Songs for Soprano and the duet Spring Will Come Again, both composed by Leonard Bernstein in honor of the Centennial of his birth, at the Kennedy Center on Millennium Stage.
