I work as a Waste Engineer at Milgro, contributing to projects focused on sustainable resource use and waste reduction. With a background in public administration and economics, and currently pursuing an MSc in Industrial Ecology, I am building a broad understanding of how policy, innovation and systems thinking come together in sustainability practice. I enjoy working on circular economy challenges and always open to connecting with people and organisations driven by sustainability and environmental impact.
Responsible for reducing residual waste streams for industrial clients, decreasing waste incineration and increasing recycling and high-value processing. Translate waste data into actionable insights through analysis, optimised collection structures and targeted improvement plans. Collaborate closely with clients and service providers to define realistic, measurable goals for waste and resource management. Product Owner for the Partner Performance Index, a data product that matches clients with the most suitable waste partners based on environmental impact, cost and service quality.
Supported industrial and mobility clients in reducing residual waste and improving waste separation and recycling performance. Conducted analyses of waste flows and collection structures to identify opportunities for optimisation. Contributed to sustainability improvement plans in collaboration with clients, internal teams and external partners.
Mapped recycling, transport and processing capabilities of Milgro’s waste partners. Supported operational coordination and pricing agreements with partners. Contributed to improving data quality and market insights within the Waste Market Accounts team.
Serve as a member of the Supervisory Board, providing oversight and strategic guidance to the association. Advise the board on governance, organisational development and long-term continuity. Contribute to a safe, transparent and well-governed organisational culture.
Acted as an accessible and trusted point of contact for members on matters related to social safety and well-being. Contributed to the development and formalisation of the role, including frameworks and guidelines for current and future confidential contact persons.
Served as Chair of the Board during a full board year of the student sailing association. Provided guidance and support to multiple committees, including event organisation, promotion and first-year introduction activities, and governance and regulations. Oversaw and coordinated the work of committee chairs and board members to ensure alignment and continuity. Held primary responsibility for revising the association’s statutes and internal regulations. Acted as the main contact for Rabobank’s one-to-one guidance programme for the association.
