Responsible for auditing and developing KO ingredient suppliers against TCCC requirements to ensure they meet expectations and quality standards. Focused on main ingredients such as juice, salts, acids, and alcohol from suppliers based in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
- Handled multiple initiatives from solution development to launch phase under the juice category for the EMEA region with a prime focus on Africa. - Formulated various juice products under the Minute Maid and Cappy brands customized to local consumer needs thereby expanded product line growth. - Optimized formulations to achieve cost savings and to address juice supply continuity issues. - Evaluated new juice specifications in the current product portfolio to support sustainable local sourcing of juices for Africa. - Identified new ingredients for prototyping and supported its integration process into the current system. - Liaised with other functional teams QA, Sourcing, Operations, and Supply Chain to manage complexities and resolve technical issues from benchtop to commercialization. - Trained production teams to implement an empowered blending way of production. - Assisted in troubleshooting technical challenges during production trials at company-owned bottling units and copacker facilities.
- Headed the exploration phase of white space beverage innovation for Costa’s retail business to identify & evaluate globally relevant new ingredients and technologies via existing and new suppliers. - Collaborated with new suppliers to identify their potential capabilities to be leveraged to feed Costa’s innovation pipeline. - Created cross-category beverage prototypes leveraging the identified ingredients & capabilities to proactively influence the key stakeholders into LRP thinking & pipeline development. - Led productivity initiatives balancing consumer experience and operational simplicity at retail outlets. - Defined product development brief and led product development of Costa RTD for the UK & EU.
