* Experienced Industry 4.0 and Factory of the Future Technical Manager and European funding expert. Computer Science engineer and PhD in machine vision and artificial intelligence. * Large knowledge about application of ICT and new technologies in manufacturing, especially automotive and agrofood. * Skilled in business development, communication, innovation management, and transference of knowledge. ---- On the first 5 years of my career, I worked as a researcher on computer vision and AI in the agrofood domain. From 2011, I am more focused on the automotive industry. In 2016 I became Factory of the Future Area Manager of CTAG, a research organization with around 1000 people. My main interest is the application, in manufacturing environments, of intelligent SW solutions and Industry 4.0 technologies to improve productivity, efficiency and quality in the factory. This includes: - DIGITALIZATION: implementation of MES-alike information systems to digitalize manufacturing processes. - MACHINE VISION: application of aspect-surface inspection, 3D-dimensional inspection, and conformity controls for quality control. - AI & DATA ANALYTICS: using machine learning and pattern recognition on manufacturing data to predict quality of processes that can result in savings. - INDUSTRY 5.0: evaluation and introduction of cognitive and physical assistance devices (exoskeletons) in industry. I have participated in +50 R&D projects, 4 patents, +35 publications. I often collaborate with the European Comision as external expert in H2020 and Horizon Europe ICT-FoF projects (evaluator, reviewer); I have also done it with Latvian CFCA and H2020 projects StandICT, StandICT2023, StandICT2026, VOJEXT, AIPlan4EU, AgROBOfood, HosmartAI, GALACTICA. Chameleon and KYKLOS 4.0 open calls. I collaborate as a teacher in the business school IFFE (Master on Big Data and B.I.), and I have also collaborated with the University of Santiago de Compostela (Master on Big Data) and University of Vigo (elderly people degree). I have advised 5 Master Thesis in UVIGO and USC. I also mentored the startup Inverbis in the 5th edition of the business accelerator program BFA, and I am mentoring the startup RIACT in the 7th edition of the same program. Head of the "Innovation and Impact in Manufacturing" Department at CTAG, inside the "Manufacturing and Digital Transformation" Division of CTAG (Automotive Technology Center of Galicia). We provide innovative solutions to the manufacturing industry to improve efficiency, quality, production and flexibility. We research, develop, integrate, evaluate and adapt technology to achieve this mission. Our main research lines are 1) the Hyperflexible factory, 2) the Smart factory, and 3) the Human factory, with a vocation of supporting the manufacturing ecosystem with acceleration and cocreation approaches. I work in business development, innovation development and strategy.
Head of the "Factory of the Future" Area at CTAG, inside the "Processes and FoF" Department of CTAG (Automotive Technology Center of Galicia). We develop Intelligent Software Systems based on Machine Vision, Data Analytics, Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence to be used in the industry. We evaluate and introduce Physical and Cognitive Assistance Devices to improve work performance and human health. We develop R&D projects through national and international consortiums. We implement solutions in the factory. I work in business development, technical direction and strategy.
