I’m a Clinical Pharmacology Graduate currently gaining hands-on experience in the clinical research field through my Student Internship at Recognition Health. My interest lies in understanding what happens behind the scenes in bringing a new medicine to patients, from the science and development of a treatment through to the design, conduct, and delivery of clinical trials. My internship has given me the opportunity to see how this works in a real-world setting and has helped me connect the knowledge I gained during my degree with the practical side of clinical research. I’ve particularly enjoyed learning about the different processes and people involved in clinical trials, and how strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail contribute to the successful delivery of a study.As I continue to develop professionally, I’m keen to explore opportunities across clinical research, clinical development, and the pharmaceutical industry. Always happy to connect with others working in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and the wider life sciences community.
