I have substantial experience in the strategic and operational management of health, safety and environmental issues across a range of industry sectors, including the chemical process industry, construction sector and military sector. Have worked with environmental risk analysis and compliance monitoring in industrial facilities and have in-depth knowledge of Norwegian and European environmental regulations, including chemicals and hazardous waste. I have 20 years of experience in the public sector, including inspector/auditor for the Climate- and Pollution Agency. I have extensive experience with HSE risk analysis, HSE auditing and management systems and environmental due diligence. I am also an experienced investigator for HSE accident investigations, both as independent investigator and as part of customers' investigation team. Discipline lead, and advisor for safety, health and working environment (SHA) issues in engineering design. Follow-up of SHA in engineering design with interdisciplinary coordination of design disciplines with regard to safeguarding the designers' duties according to section 17 of the Construction Client Regulations. Projects include New Bodø airport and the new Government Quarter in Oslo.

Responsible for NDEA’s SHE management system. Group Leader for SHE spesialists,. SHE coordinator responsible for follow-up in cases dealing with working environment, indoor climate relating to health, waste management systems for Norwegian defense facilities, SHE risk analyses at training and firing ranges. SHE education and training, working environment, environmental aspects and systematic approach to health, environmental and safety activities at NDEA. Responsible for carrying out compliance monitoring for the Norwegian environmental authorities, including environmental aspects within a large range of industries and companies that import hazardous chemical products. Lead auditor, environmental auditing of companies with discharge permits from SFT and the County Governors. Norway’s representative (4 years) in the European Commissions Expert Committee for EMAS (Eco Management and Auditing Scheme). Co-ordinator for EMAS in Norway between Norwegian Accreditation, the Brønnøysund Register Centre and the environmental authorities. Participation for several years in different development aid projects for SFT in Zambia, Botswana and South Africa (Durban). Co-operation with the environmental authorities, updating environmental law and legal framework, holding training courses for inspectors within auditing and inspection techniques.
