As a Cashier at McDonald's, I provided great customer service and learned how the fast-food business operates. My main job was to welcome customers and take their orders at the counter and drive-thru while processing cash and credit card payments accurately. I worked with my coworkers to maintain a clean and safe work area and restocked supplies to ensure smooth operations during busy times. Throughout my time there, I improved my communication skills, managed my time better during peak hours, and developed problem-solving abilities by quickly addressing customer issues.
Every year, for one week, the Florin High School band sets up a fireworks booth along Florin Road to raise funds. I always volunteer to help because I find the community and atmosphere to be really uplifting. Knowing that my efforts contribute to something meaningful makes it addictive to stay involved. This experience has taught me to communicate better and be less judgmental when meeting new people. I believe participating in community service activities is important because it allows you to connect with others who share similar interests and form strong bonds.
I was responsible for coordinating and scheduling our rehearsal sessions, ensuring that all group members were well-informed and able to attend. In addition, I provided individual support to each member to help them learn and practice their parts, making sure everyone was well-prepared for our performances.
Organized and facilitated engaging games and activities for large groups of 50+ students. Designed eye-catching promotional flyers and invitations for various gatherings and events.
