• Responsible for managing and recommending all Store & COM markdowns across products and national/regional zones throughout their life cycle to drive sales and optimize gross margin. • Partner with the DMM, Buyers and Vendors to execute markdowns with consideration of their scope of the business, competitor and sales activity. • Work with Merchant teams to identify under-performing styles or categories and recommend price action. • Identify opportunities and risks based on style performance and trends and collaborate with the Buying and Merchant teams to adjust strategies and processes accordingly. • Validate actual weekly sales and gross margin and compare to forecasts and projections to adjust the monthly markdown budgets with the Buyers and Vendors. • Provide specific markdown forecasts and projections to the Buying team by style, category, brand and/or department. • Conduct in-depth weekly review of the business and analyze regional sales. • Develop strategies that utilize both permanent and temporary Store & COM POS markdowns most profitably and carry these strategies through to the end of each products shelf life. • Participate in business strategy meetings with the Buying and Merchant Store and MCOM teams to understand overall goals, budgets, strategies, constraints, marketing, warehouse receiving and other operating parameters. • Address non-productive OH and OO inventory through national and localized use of Clearance POS. • Ensure all POS strategies are executed in the system, as well as on the store & COM level. • Advanced computer skills including: Windows 2000, Word and Excel - formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
