About

I am a creative and ambitious individual with a passion for the English language, in both its written and spoken form. Through my pursuits in creative writing, I've partaken in various workshopping and mentorship experiences, studying under industry professionals such as Aldo Amparán, Nat Mesnard, and Chukwuma Ndulue. My pieces have been recognized by the League of Canadian Poets, and The New York Times, amongst others. Coupled with my volunteer and work experience in spoken word, I have the unique opportunity to further my craft and contribute to the wider contemporary Lit scene. Further, As a leader in formal and informal settings, I strive to facilitate environments that enable authenticity, change, and effective communication. With years of teaching and classroom management experience through my permanent part-time job as a Faculty Assistant at the Bolton Academy of Spoken Arts, I've coached students between Grades 2 to 6 in spoken and written skills, helping promote compelling communicational skills through activities. Overall, I have an artistic mindset that allows me to bring creative perspectives to the table. I have a strong work ethic and am always looking for new experiences!
