Chartered status, Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers of the United Kingdom, +25 years of experience, MSc Coastal&Ports, Civil&Materials Engineer, developing my career as: ► Bid&project manager (up to 1,000,000 euros of fee). ► 'Hands on' designer/lead designer (detailed design), working ´from the trench´ developing holisticly projects, designs and technical analysis. ► Technical advisor throughout construction works. I have worked based in Spain the UK & over short periods of time in the UAE and Dominican Republic, undertaking ports&coastal projects in different locations: ► Mediterranean (Spain). ► Atlantic Ocean (Spain, Spain-Canary Islands, West Africa, Brazil). ► North Sea (UK). ► Indian Ocean (India&Oman). ► Red Sea (KSA, Egypt). ► Arabic Gulf. ► Caribbean Sea (Dominican Republic, Columbia). ► Gulf of Mexico. I posses extensive experience in detailed design as 'hands on' designer (please see my portfolio), leading design teams, building up relationships (plz. see recommendations by peers) and mentoring more junior engineers (such as S. I posses an excellent understanding of construction equipment and sequence of marine works with land&waterborne equipment. I am boat skipper, sailor of recreational boats&beach volley player. 1) 2021-to date. "HANDS ON DESIGNER", DESIGN OFFICE BASED (ports and coastal structures specialist). 2) 2020-2021. BASED ON SITE. Resident Engineer, site technical advisor, secondment at a Spanish Major Port. Construction of a new berth: caissons (500 m), dredging, rubble-mound breakwaters, reclamation, pavements, utilities. Pictures: i) Caisson quay wall (500 m) and revetments. ii) Barge performance analysis.
