Testing experience: - Test Coaching: helping developers write acceptance criteria for unit tests. Reviewing unit tests written in Javascript. Generally coaching the team on BDD and testing best practices. - Integration Testing: written in visual studio (C#) by calling API endpoints (postman) to mimic core user actions. - Performance Testing: use JMeter to write performance tests and run them to ascertain the systems load handling capabilities. - Automated testing: creating automated tests to run across multiple browsers and in Devops Pipelines. Mainly use Playwright with Javascript but have experience using TestCafe, Cypress and Selenium. - Manual Testing: skills/methodologies include - regression, boundary-case, cross-browser (including mobile & tablets using tools like Saucelabs & Browserstack), accessibility (keyboard navigation), screen-reader testing (using NVDA), user-acceptance and exploratory testing. Other points: - The teams I work with are generally introverted so I like to encourage them to get involved in remote social activities which boosts morale and mental wellbeing. - I've also had experience volunteering as a scrum master and product owner (where these roles have been awaiting suitable candidates for backfill). - Tend to be heavily involved in interviewing new candidates applying to open testing roles. - I partake in a lot of independent learning, currently very interested in React and creating front-end apps.
