I collaborated with leaders at schools and extracurricular youth programs, as well as parents and guardians, to help grow the profile of Camp Pride, a one-week day camp that existed for LGBTQIA+ teenagers. I also helped schedule and prepare for the summer program itself, held at a campground in Rockland County, NY. During the summer, I led the five-day program.

From a campground in Staten Island, I helped launch and oversaw the weeklong pilot program of an outdoor day camp for LGBTQIA+ kids ages five to thirteen. ◆ Managed and guided a staff of eight counselors. ◆ Interfaced with parents of 25 kids during the camp session. ◆ Led and took part in daily “Pride Time” discussions about LGBTQIA+ identity.
