I lead a 30M NOK Research Council of Norway-funded project to develop a new national strategy for academically-intensive biotechnology innovation. We support Norwegian biotechnology through funding, training and networking pilots. In 2026, we will use the pilot outcomes to inform targeted recommendations to accelerate innovation, drive commercialisation and see biotechnology breakthroughs deployed in the real world.
We are a global network of technical experts, made up of scientists, academics founders and industry experts. We provide investors with technical due dilliegence services to help you better understand the risks of your investments, and make better decisions. We use our network to understand complex and multifaceted technologies that no one person could evaluate alone. We have evaluated over 200 companies and supported over $200 million in investment.
As a Knowledge Transfer Manager I was responsible for supporting the growth of UK synthetic biology through targeted networking activities, input into national strategy and by enabling access to public and private funding opportunities. I co-led the Synthetic Biology Special Interest Group and developed a extensive network including key figures from industry, academia and policy making.
Led the transformation of a piece of world-leading synthetic biology and machine learning research at the University of Bristol into a novel diagnostic company platform with a lead test candidate capable of impacting the lives of millions of people. Grew the company through two funding rounds and built and incredible multidisciplinary team.
My role was to drive commercialisation of the world-class research at the Bristol Centre for Synthetic Biology (BrisSynBio). I developed and managed the BrisSynBio Innovations Programme, which led to: 4 major platform patents, five new spinout and startup companies and £4.2M of translational funding. I built a network of industrial collaborators, ran multiple entrepreneurial training programmes and supported the development of a new innovation ecosystem in Bristol and the SW.
