I'm passionate about cultural diplomacy, building relations between artists and cultural professionals, effectively administering public funds for the arts and supporting creators to tell their stories to the world. I am an experienced civil servant who values the importance of trust, friendship and mutual understanding in furthering the cause of art and culture as a power for societal change.
Nurturing and growing networks across the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries to build trust-based relationships with a range of stakeholders in the cultural field, including professionals and organisations. Enthusiastically showcasing the vast talent and potential of Quebec artists to buyers and collaborators to support the market development of Quebec artists and creative companies. Leveraging cultural diplomacy to enhance Quebec’s soft power on the global stage. Overseeing the management, allocation, and strategic communication of public funding available to local partners, supporting their collaboration with Quebec artists and creative companies. Evaluating public funding applications: overseeing selected projects from inception to completion, documenting results, providing detailed reports to relevant stakeholder Ministries. Designing and implementing major multi-year projects through (inter)national partnerships, aligned with cultural policy objectives. Examples include: -Quebec at Gothenburg Book Fair 2026 -Quebec at Edinburgh Fringe -Quebec Spring (annual music showcase series) Collaborating with cross-departmental teams to drive and implement organisational change, improving efficiency and collaboration on office-wide objectives. Representing the Quebec government at high-profile public events, writing and delivering impactful speeches and presentations, contributing to the creation of the 'Quebec Culture' publication.
Managing and developing the office’s online platforms, in both French and English, to increase public awareness of the actions and priorities of the Quebec government across the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries. Working with four different departments to create bilingual content and provide comprehensive and structured coverage of their activities, including prime ministerial, ministerial, cultural and trade missions, across social media, website and internal intranet. Providing guidance and support to colleagues in using social media to enhance their outreach and engagement.
