He is experienced in working with high-value added, high technology, advanced engineering and scientific companies from amongst others the satellite telecommunications and navigation, aerospace & defence, power generation, transmission & distribution and automotive sectors. The role of the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) Economic Development Division (EDD) is to strengthen the UK's regional and sub-regional economies, reducing growth gaps between regions and encourage business success through the use of European and English regional funding. I led the EDD - Partnerships & Delivery Team responsible for relationship management of the BIS/Government Office (GO) partnership. I was the policy lead on Innovation, Enterprise, Employment & Energy issues.
