As Managing Director of M&A, I'm tasked with building the corporate development engine for a fast‑growing, family office–backed independent insurance agency. Responsible for developing a strong M&A strategy and robust deal pipeline, deal sourcing (proprietary & via intermediaries), leading the due diligence and deal execution processes, and producing investment recommendations for review by senior executives and Board members. Alongside the CEO, I help shape and execute the company’s most critical strategic initiatives, driving growth through disciplined, high‑impact M&A.
• Drive the execution phase of the transaction process for all deals from signed letter of intent through closing – typically 12-15 concurrent transactions • Negotiate with seller parties, including due diligence pro forma negotiations and assisting in the negotiation of legal documents • Identify and solve key business issues throughout the transaction process • Maintain regular contact with internal functional groups to manage the pace of transactions, provide bigger-picture context behind business issues and overall deal strategy, and help mitigate deal fatigue for sellers
• Team lead on financial due diligence team responsible for the full diligence process on assigned deals, including managing the relationship with seller during the data gathering phase, analysis of financials & production, pro forma modeling, and ad-hoc support for legal team requests • Heavily involved in recruiting and developing new team members for the financial due diligence team and creating & refining internal processes
Financial advisor responsible for managing client relationships for 70 households, including financial and estate plan development, financial plan follow-up and updates, investment account management, and data gathering and management. Proactively monitored trends within investment management and financial markets to anticipate client concerns, and frequently met with clients to review investment performance, deliver financial plans, address client questions, and build deeper client relationships. Actively participated in weekly Investment Committee meetings to discuss ongoing developments in global financial markets and the positioning of client portfolios. Consistently applied team-based approach to client service, leveraging the specialized knowledge of in-house subject matter experts.
Sell-side associate equity analyst covering multiple industries, including consumer durables, retail, transportation, and industrial technology. Contributed materially to the top research team which produced more than $1.5M in annual revenue. Designed, developed, maintained, and executed primary industry research efforts across more than 40 companies in 15 industries. Wrote and evaluated weekly institutional investment publications on various industries and companies. Experience with financial modeling, including constructing, updating, and forecasting financial statements. Produced and distributed special reports for industry contacts which generated vibrant and useful feedback used in developing investment advice. Cultivated and managed relationships with key industry players, and broad experience in industry networking, contact prospecting, and cold calling. Developed extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and recognized as “go-to” employee for Excel advice.
