About

Andy Page was president and chief executive officer (CEO)of ORAU from 2009-2025 until his retirement in September of that year. While Page served as the CEO he provided comprehensive oversight, strategic direction and leadership for ORAU and its diverse set of missions involving science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) workforce development, scientific assessment, worker health, environmental management and radiological emergency response. Page led ORAU to record $475M+ in annual revenue, the highest in its 80 year history. Page worked closely with government agencies and ORAU’s university consortium to secure new programs and partnerships to further enhance ORAU’s national and international reputation. Page oversaw ORAU’s flagship contract, the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, which ORAU manages for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and where Page served as the ORISE Director from 2009 to 2016. ORAU also supported DOE national laboratories with STEM internship and fellowship programs to help build the pipeline of future scientists and engineers. In 2025 Page was recognized for his contributions in advancing work force and economic development initiatives by the Tennessee Valley Corridor Champion Award. He also received one of only two “Muddy Boot” annual awards from the East Tennessee Economic Council for his community and corporate leadership for Oak Ridge and in East Tennessee. Before becoming president, Page was the VP and Director of ORAU’s National Security Program, supporting DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Emergency Response and served as Emergency Response Official in DOE’s Nuclear Incident Team. In this capacity he also managed several major counterterrorism programs for other government agencies that supported DOE’s national security mission. Prior to joining ORAU Page served for nearly twenty five years as a Marine Corps Infantry Officer in Fleet Marine Force, Special Operations Capable, and Security Force Commands. Page served on the board of directors for the East Tennessee Economic Council. He was a member of the UT-Battelle Board of Governors, institutional liaison for the Tennessee Valley Corridor Board of Directors, and a member of the Covenant Health Leadership Academy Class of 2017. He received a master’s degree in management from Webster University, a master’s degree in education from Old Dominion University, and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from the National Defense University. He received his bachelor’s degree in history from The Citadel.
