Andy has over 20 years’ experience in marine geoscience, survey and consultancy in the marine renewable and oil and gas sectors and currently leads the Site Characterisation & Engineering Team at Intertek Energy and Water. He is a Chartered Scientist and Marine Scientist with a strong academic background in marine geoscience, Andy provides technical guidance on marine surveys, site inspection and assessment, cable routing and landfalls, cable risk assessments and remediation, marine and coastal geological and geophysical issues and environmental impact assessments. He has extensive experience of subsea interconnector, cable and offshore renewables projects. He has acted as Project Manager and Project Director on numerous significant marine infrastructure projects including marine interconnectors, marine renewables, and export cables in the UK, Ireland, Europe and Worldwide through all aspects of project lifecycle, including acting as lead employer’s offshore representative. Specialties: Strategy, management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects in the power and energy sector; Sub-sea cables, Offshore Wind, Marine geophysics and geology.
