I’m an asset and automotive finance professional with 30+ year deep UK and European experience across bank‑backed lenders, captive finance, and fintech operations. My career spans sourcing own direct front‑end origination, credit assessment, collections insight, dealer and partner development and management and treasury‑aligned decisioning — giving me a 360° view of how strong portfolios are built, protected and grown. I’ve spent over three decades structuring transactions, analysing financials and managing the full sales cycle for SMEs, dealers and OEM partners. My background includes major roles with Lloyds TSB Asset Finance, RoyScot Trust, Medens Trust, and a 20‑year tenure with Volvo Financial Services, where I drove finance penetration, improved documentation quality and strengthened dealer performance. I have in depth experience and knowledge of General asset, Vehicle, Passenger transport ( Bus & Coach ), Haulage, Plant, Materials Handling and Agriculture funding for all business types from Sole traders to listed companies utilising all finance types including equity release, revolving credit facilities and short flexible funding. I also have extensive experience working with OEM , dealer and broker partners to develop and manage new direct and white labelled funding streams I have held local and national roles including country manager and have experience supporting colleagues in cross border funding and direct funding in Europe. Alongside commercial delivery, I have hands on experience with underwriting, collections and treasury teams to improve credit submissions, reduce turnaround times and support where needed compliant, FCA‑aligned customer outcomes. My recent work in fintech and digital credit journeys has added further depth in workflow design, lender decisioning and customer‑experience optimisation. I have held national Sales and marketing roles building and delivering strategies from scratch and representing my employer with stage and on line presentations and webinars and built customer communities delivering in person experiences at a national and international level. In addition I have a strong understanding of what the market wants and what technology can deliver.
