I'm a recent Biomedical Engineering graduate from the University of Minnesota. I have a minor in computer science, and I love to code! I am very interested in medical devices, emergency medicine, and software engineering. Outside of school I enjoy hiking, reading, tennis, snowboarding, and climbing.

Big island is a new bouldering gym that just opened in the twin cities. As a member of their new team, I get to help shape the brand as it grows. My main responsibilities are opening the facility, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and creating a comfortable space for all people.
I’ve been certified as a CPR instructor for over 3 years and worked at 3 different locations. I’ve taught for the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Staff, The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and The University of Minnesota Medical School. I’ve taught zoo staff, arborists, students, nurses, and doctors how to do CPR. Teaching CPR requires a positive energy to encourage students to ask questions and make the class more enjoyable for those who have taken it before. Most recently I have been teaching medical students at the UMN Department of Emergency Medicine.
I worked in a biomechanics research laboratory run by Kyoko Yoshida. I used a finite element modeling software to simulate the heart of a mouse and try to accurately predict how the heart would change throughout pregnancy. The goal was to eventually move to simulating the human heart throughout pregnancy, allowing researchers to understand common heart problems that occur during pregnancy.
I worked in a biomedical research laboratory run by Victor Barocas. I assisted graduate students studying aortic aneurysms, as well as optimizing a program they used for measuring the physical properties of tissue and plaque.
I worked at a youth hiking and outdoors camp in New Mexico run by Scouting BSA. With a team of around 10 people, we lived in a small, isolated camp to run program for the youth participants visiting our area of responsibility. We oversaw rock-climbing program, participant safety, selling/replacing any necessary supplies, and restocking food for participants.
I worked with a company based out of Texas to install medical alert devices for patients with limited mobility or risk of falling. I was responsible for being on call in the greater twin cities area, managing inventory, managing my own time, and maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor while in someone else’s home. I was also responsible for setting up and activating the devices, as well as educating the patients on the device.
