Andy Chan is currently Deputy General Counsel at Infineon Technologies. Andy is a registered patent attorney and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). He has extensive experience in intellectual property, patent and commercial litigation as well as IP licensing and other technology transactions, with prior roles both in-house and in private practice. Prior to joining Infineon, he was Vice President, Intellectual Property & Litigation at Coherus BioSciences. He was also a partner at two Am Law 100 law firms focusing on complex patent and trade secret matters involving a variety of technology areas, including computer arts, semiconductor, chemical, and biotechnology. While attending law school, he was a scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he worked to license micropower impulse radar and robotic vision technologies. Before that, Mr. Chan was a chemist for a Silicon Valley manufacturer of capacitive inclinometers and angle sensors.
