Hi all, I’ve got over 15 years of experience in the field of mobile outdoor robotics, including perception (LiDAR, RaDAR, camera processing), situation interpretation (object prediction, context classification, etc), planning / reasoning and control of mobile robots. I studied computer science and wrote my doctoral work with a focus on situation interpretation and reasoning of mobile robots. At BMW I started as a developer in the sensor fusion department, which led me to a development position for the remote controlled parking (RCP) function. I then joined the department for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning where I was responsible for the series development of the object prediction component, amongst other things. My current position aims at the efficient processing of sensor data of the BMW vehicle fleet to be able to create complex interaction models between all visible traffic participants. I’m interested in mobile robotics in general, including sensor data processing, sensor fusion, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and big data analyses.
