I have experienced many aspects of the real estate and hospitality industries, from both large private equity companies to my own start-ups. My most recent focus and passion has been planning, building, opening, and managing a new upscale hostel in Washington D.C. called HighRoad Hostel. In my current day to day role, I am the acting General Manager of the HighRoad Hostel DC. I oversee all aspects of the business from directly serving our guest customers to striving to build an outstanding employee team. I handle everything related to running the business including marketing, maintenance, asset management, financing, strategy and whatever else it takes. I’ve previously worked in real estate finance and private equity at two institutions: The Carlyle Group for over eight years in three offices from coast to coast and at JER Partners in the Washington DC area. In each role, I focused on both (i) acquisitions including joint ventures and ground-up developments as well as (ii) asset management of real estate with an eye towards making change by getting involved at very detailed levels of property operations. I find that understanding the integration of real estate, construction, and hospitality from many different angles is a knowledge base which allows me to deliver the best possible outcomes to my customers, employees, lenders, and investor partners.

*Integral member of U.S. Real Estate group with in excess of $5.3 billion of opportunistic equity under management. *Personal key role in over $2.7 billion of transactions in multiple property types across various geographic areas. *Responsibilities include sourcing, acquisitions, asset management across the country. *Expertise in Hotels, Multifamily, Condo, Office, Retail, Industrial, Movie Studios & Sound Stages, Land, Home Building, Student Housing, and Development. *Have worked in Washington D.C., Newport Beach, Los Angeles, and New York offices.
*Member of JER Partner's private equity real estate fund team. *Conducted all aspects of financial underwriting and traditional due diligence on potential investments in multiple real estate asset classes.
