I have been lucky enough to be able to retire, although I don't really like the term as it suggests not doing much. I have gone back to doing things like MBA lecturing, which I did before at ARU and sailing, I used to be a sailing instructor. Recently, I went to Poland to the COP 24 UN Climate Change conference with Cafod. Again, this was a previous interest to me as my original degree was in Environmental Sciences. I have also been involved with a lot of informal groups and activities in Cambridge.

Also, a leader on a SAP project and various other IT projects including Digital Badges, YLE Revision and Business Continuity Planning. 2014-15 - Project Lead (Cambridge) for the SELT IELTS Project. Implementing IELTS to meet new government security requirements. IELTS has 2.5 million candidates a year. Line manager for 10 staff on the SAP implementation project and SAP operations. 2014 - Business Architect - Responsible for defining the scope of a large SAP project. 2013-14 - Business Readiness Lead responsible for the, very successful, implementation of YLE in Cambridge English on the multi-million pound SAP project. Also, organised and managed the change managers. 2005 - 2012 - Responsible for 25 staff managing the entries and results for up to 4 million Cambridge English Candidates. Project Leader on several key projects including: Assessment Management System - Responsible for the business aspects of this £5m project. Provided key requirements and design input and managed 3 business analysts. Faster Results - Reduced the results issue time from 7 weeks to 4 with process, system and change management improvements. Centre Print Scan - Initiated and led the project to scan answer sheets in centres around the world with potential savings of £1m per year and competitive advantages. 2002-05 - Responsible for managing 14 staff including project managers and the internal software testing department. Also responsible for providing software support for global customers.
