Manufacturing Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in automotive start-ups.
I was responsible for leading the General Assembly & End Of Line Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team on the Dyson EV project. Facility The team are responsible for designing and managing the layout and facility design of the general assembly and End Of Line areas. Managing the layout in CAD and liaising with suppliers via formal RFI/RFQ processes to achieve successful industrialisation on schedule and on cost. Process We're responsible for quantifying the "manufacturability" of the vehicle through Virtual Build events and continual assessment. this includes generating a Bill Of Process in Teamcentre MPP and recording issues in the internal issue management system. We also own the completion for the PFMEA analysis required for successful industrialisation. Tooling The team also manage the tooling requirements lists and budgets, from analysing the design of the vehicle to find specific requirements to working with trusted partners to provide virtual verification of tooling feasibility in General Assembly.
I worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer helping to launch the now highly successful LEVC TX electric Taxi in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Coventry. Joining the project at VP and supporting all the way through to handover post Job 1.
