I understood how a business runs long before I opened a finance textbook. Since my mid-teens I have helped run East Cottage, my family’s takeaway, keeping the books and working front of house. Long hours, thin margins, and regular faces taught me to respect the numbers and the people behind them in equal measure. That grounding drew me to Mathematics with Finance and Accounting at Queen Mary University of London, where I am predicted a First. Today I am a Summer Analyst at Deloitte in Tax Technology Consulting. My experience before this spans RBC Capital Markets, Susquehanna, WTW, PIMCO and Subunit, across markets, quantitative research, and cross border investment. At Queen Mary I am Founding Treasurer of the Quant Society and now chair and advise the Consulting Society, having served as its Vice President during the past year. Outside the university I have stayed close to social mobility work, including a consulting project for Be Enriched, a South London charity, that helped raise £5,000 and was later recognised at the EY Global Career Services Summit. Away from work I follow football, travel whenever I can, and watch the markets a little too closely for something meant to be a hobby. Feel free to connect!
