About

For over 15 years, I have worked to protect forests and nature, support improved management of our shared resources, and reward landowners and communities for their good stewardship. Built and managed two multi-stakeholder landscape projects bringing together diverse corporates including Staples, Domtar, Kimberly Clark, Avery Dennison, Evergreen Packaging and NGOs WRI, Rainforest Alliance and others, landowners including Forestland Group and state and federal agencies to expand certification, improve forest management, and expand carbon stocks in the Southern US, winning the FSC Leadership Award in 2020. Partnered with some of the largest global forest products companies including Georgia Pacific, International Paper and Resolute Forest Products to develop and implement new sustainable wood and fiber procurement resulting in expanded conservation, improved forest management and limits on forest conversion across the United States. Subject matter expert for Rainforest Alliance Corporate Advisory for forest issues including the Accountability Framework Initiative, traceability, legality, assurance and certification, CDP Forests and the EUDR. Built productive relationships with diverse set of woodland owners and forest communities ranging from hectare-size smallholders in Java, indigenous forest communities in Guatemala, to small farmers and large timber investment management organizations in the US.
