My name is Andrew Franco I am a 2018 Bryant University graduate. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, plus two minors; Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Mandarin Chinese. Sourcing Analyst/Procurement Working as a sourcing analyst at Newell Brands I learned to use advanced Excel formulas and PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings to Divisional leads, stakeholders and VPs. The following projects focused on cross divisional work, future productivity, negotiable costs, and ideation. My role in these projects, in addition to the aforementioned, included comparing rates of foreign manufacturing, verification of supplier’s social compliance, and maintaining product integrity. With each project having its own dedicate factors, Excel templates were created from scratch; Projects ranging from $2.16-$40M Newell Brands projects: Food Storage Container Project • Worked with foreign suppliers factoring in social compliance issues while keeping product integrity and cost under control. Results – Moved project from one supplier to another due to social work compliance issues Resin Component Bid • Cross-divisional work involving resin injection manufacturers • Work required an operational understanding of resin molding machine in both cost and function. This operational information was self-taught. Results– Condense suppliers; drove 1.3 million in savings Janitorial Services • Calculate services, determine market basket, analyze quotes for commercial janitorial services. Negotiate as required. Results– Found replacement suppliers for sites with issues around their current provider Candle Ideation Project • Creation of new products or revising old products using new suppliers outside of China to avoid tariffs. Results – Identified potential suppliers Ideation Projects • Worked with category managers to identify new projects using current suppliers. • Walked through each supplier with category managers to determine whether their spend was addressable, sourceable, and touched. Results – Found potential projects for company to investigate: Categories investigated include Facility, E-commerce and Marketing. I am a hardworking, analytical, well educated, well rounded, organized individual with a focused internal drive, and a proven team player that can function effectively in a group or independently.
- Responsible for managing over 50 supplier relationships including invoice issues, purchase order discrepancies, and repairs. - Collaborates with the research and development team to find preferred suppliers for new parts. - Leads several complex projects surrounding vendor components and electronic circuitry.
- Created and approved requisitions/purchase orders within SAP, both domestic and international. - Maintained complex supplier relations for company wide transparency and negotiates payment terms when necessary. - Managed SharePoint workflow queue to ensure processes are not static.
- Budgeted $2.1M to $40M for direct, indirect, and sourced finished goods (SFG) projects by performing strategic analysis. - Gathered and manipulated data to evaluate cross divisional work, future productivity, and negotiable costs. - Created detailed Excel templates from scratch and turned financially laden worksheets into understandable PowerPoint Presentations for division leads division leads, Vice-Presidents, and shareholders.
