Andrew Tank, based in Brussels, Belgium is a retired director of a business research think-tank and active volunteer in various roles in the Anglican Communion. He has a special interest in the relationship between spirituality and money. He serves as an Ministerial Formation Advisor with the Church of England and has a particular interest in leadership development. He holds an MA degree in Economics and Social Sciences from Cambridge University, trained as an Associated Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce. He served at The Conference Board in leadership positions from 1989 until retirement in March 2023. He was a member of the Global Management Committee and its Legal Representative in Europe from 2004 to 2023. As Executive Director, he was responsible for Human Resources in Asia, Europe and the Middle East from 2019-2023, led European Membership (2015-2018), European Corporate Services (2005-2015), Conferences (1997-2004) and Councils (1993-2004) and as Research Associate (1989-1992). Research he has directed includes Managing Beyond Oil (2008); The Business Case for Diversity: Good Practices in the Workplace (2005) and Women in Leadership: a European Business Imperative (2001). In prior roles, he served as the European management editor of the Economist Intelligence Unit, South & East Asia correspondent for Automotive News and with International Voluntary Service in Bangladesh. He is the author of business books including Building Flexible Companies (1992), The BI 50: Case Studies in Management Success (1989) and Making Alliances Work (1990). In a voluntary capacity, he serves in various capacities with the Church of England. He has served as President of the Cambridge Society of Belgium, Church Warden and Archdeaconry Representative at Holy Trinity, Brussels, member of the European Leaders’ Group of The Trinity Forum, and on the organizing committee of the Amartya Sen Lecture series on Sustainable Development.

Previously, ran European meeting businesses, directed European Commission funded research projects and served as Regional Director in the Middle East.
