Matriculated in 2010. Started working at Highveld Steel for Intocast in 2011 as a general worker. Resigned at Intocast in August 2011 to study Safety. Got my Safety Diplomas (SOC1, SOC2, SOC3 SAMTRAC) at the end of 2011 at Skillful Trading. Started working at Bureau Veritas Testing and Inspections S.A at the beginning of February 2012 as a laboratory analyst. Worked as n laboratory analyst from 2012 until 2015 where I was also part of the first aid and safety rep teams for which we also received in-house training for. In 2015 I got promoted to Results Coordinator. I went for the Internal Auditing and ISO17025 Systems course at SANAS. As well as the Advanced course in Microsoft Excel at LearnFast in 2016. In 2017 I studied Total Quality Management at UNISA and got my Certificate at the end of the year. In 2019 I studied and passed the Higher certificate in Business management at Regent Business School. I started with my 3 year Bachelors degree in Bachelor of Commerce at Regent Business School in 2020 and is still busy with this qualification at the moment.
• Capturing and checking data and results from analyses done in the laboratory. • Must be familiar with all the procedures in the lab as well as all the requirements and duties of a Technical Signatory as requested by SANAS as well as ISO17025. • Do the forecasting for the following month. • Let the lab analysts do repeat analyses if any errors are spotted. • Draw up reports. • Communicate with clients and resolve any client queries regarding the analyses or results. • Help with closing of any non-conformances raised by the internal audits and SANAS. • Responsible for the calculations once instructions were received from client. • Put all the information and results, regarding the coal samples from the client, into the report. • Sign off the results if everything is correct and send final certificate to client (Technical Signatory) • Working with samples that is being outsourced for other analyses and checking the results reported back to us before reporting it to client. • Make sure all reports that are planned to be invoiced for the month gets done and reported in time so that we reach our monthly target.
