Started off as a courier driver and was given the opportunity to work in the office environment. I worked hard and soon gained the respect of my fellow office workers and also my drivers. I then studied very hard as I was asked to sit a Cpc course in National Road haulage operations and passed. With this knowledge I switched from the courier industry to the wonderful world of freight. I am now in charge of a fleet of trucks, a warehouse and both day and night teams who work 24/7 365 days a year. Oh the joys 😜. In January 2020 I joined Quick International Couriers and successfully guided them through both Brexit and Covid. In August 2022 I joined N2O as there Fleet Manager. This is a different role from what I am used to as this is the first real job I’ve had which isn’t primarily airport based but instead marketing etc. They do roadshows and events etc for many high profile customers and I believe this is an exciting opportunity. Relocation I have since left my Fleet Manager role at N2O as I have moved to South Wales but do continue to fill in when required along with helping out the Field Support team and now the Quality assurance team. Now the work is finished in my new home I am now looking for local job opportunities, whether it be full or part time. I am versatile and as I have proven throughout my career willing to learn and to also teach and mentor others. If you have a position that you believe may be suitable for me please get in touch.
We decided to move away from near Heathrow to a lovely big house in South Wales, hence why I have left my role at N2O but have been asked to go back to cover holidays. Not sure what the future holds and what direction I want to go, whether I choose to start my own business or decide to do something completely different, or stick with what I know. In the meantime I’ll be decorating and playing a bit of golf 😊.
