I graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Population Studies, Demography, and Geography, equipping me with strong knowledge and technical skills in the key areas of demographic transitions (migration, fertility, mortality), demographic methods and applications, and demographic research and project proposal writing. I have hands-on experience with data collection and analysis, including conducting surveys and using both qualitative and quantitative methods to identify and address social issues such as gender inequalities, Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), and human development challenges. My technical skills include the use of industry-standard statistical and database software, such as IBM SPSS Statistics and DevInfo 6.0 Data Admin, for importing, exporting, and managing population data. In addition, I am trained in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing, with practical experience using software such as MapInfo, QGIS 2.18 and 2.2 Valmiera, ArcGIS for tasks such as social mapping, environmental risk assessments, and land use planning. I am also highly proficient in general computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, for professional reporting, presentations, and data visualisation. I am passionate about using demographic data and geographic tools to support evidence-based planning, policy development, and sustainable community development.
