As Founder & CEO of Gray & Forester, I lead a purpose-driven Tax, Accounting, and Financial Advisory firm built on the pillars of community trust, technical precision, and deep financial expertise. Our mission is to empower individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses with accurate and actionable guidance—delivered through a collaborative and client-centered approach. • Lead strategic vision and growth initiatives for Gray & Forester, a community-based Tax, Accounting and Financial Advisory firm catering to Individuals, Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses. • Provide high-impact advisory services on IRS compliance, multi-state planning, and short/long-term financial strategies for individuals and small businesses. • Assist entrepreneurs on corporate structuring, funding, and other start up related items. • Develop and implement outreach initiatives to enhance brand identity and community engagement. • Foster relationships with local businesses, professionals, and stakeholders to strengthen shared success. • Build systems, brand identity, and outreach initiatives that reflect our commitment to clarity and credibility.
Responsible for all facets of the accounting and finance function for Traunsunions Financial Services business, including month-end close, reporting, planning, forecasting, and providing ad hoc support to a matrix management structure. Provided comprehensive financial support for TransUnion's Financial Services business, representing approximately $1.3B in revenue, which made up approximately 40% of TransUnion’s total revenue. • Led development of reporting, planning, and analysis processes and procedures for the Financial Services business, driving the use of best practices, standardization, and reducing the need for additional resources across the remainder of the finance organization. • Performed due diligence on and integrated five acquisitions worth $4B in market value and approximately $1B in revenue. • Developed media business from a small $2M annual revenue afterthought to a $140M annual revenue business via organic growth and acquisitions.
Managed staff of 12, responsible for daily printing and distribution of the newspaper products portfolio. Led the niche publications division, responsible for producing and distributing approximately 80 unique publications per year representing $30M in revenue. Acted as finance lead in developing and implementing an ongoing companywide reorganization, including outsourcing distribution and manufacturing channels, closing plants, selling products, and reducing facilities. • Grew revenue by $10M by improving communication of cross-functional team as lead of the niche products division and allowed others to provide input. • Worked with key vendors and implemented a quality program that resulted in better on-time deliveries and ultimately led to growth in circulation. • Built the FP&A team from the ground up and provided comprehensive financial support for the company’s entire portfolio of 100 publications that represented approximately $400M in revenue, including month-end close and reporting, planning, forecasting, analysis, benchmarking, and business modeling for various ad hoc projects. • Acted as finance lead through Chapter 11 bankruptcy that ultimately led to the sale of the company to a private-equity group. • Provided decision support around product profitability, custom products for large clients, and long-range planning, utilizing financial modeling experience.
