My experience as a writer, editor and creator spans several years and multiple industries. Most recently I’ve worked as an editor on the Marketing and Editorial team at United Airlines. Throughout my career, I've honed my skills in marketing and social media services for clients in the financial industry. I spent time in both of Chicago’s major print newsrooms, The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Sun-Times, as a writer, editor and page designer. I also worked as an editor for DePaul University’s nationally-recognized student newspaper, The DePaulia. Throughout all of this, I’ve honed an eye for sharp copy paired with effective design and innovative ideas. I’ve worked as the leader of a creative team as well as in numerous supporting roles. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to help people and businesses communicate their ideas effectively. I hope to continue learning and growing creatively wherever my career takes me.
As a member of the Editorial team at United Airlines, my roles and responsibilities include: -Developing consumer-facing copy for all of the company's marketing channels, including united.com, the United mobile app, printed signs in airports and lounges, digital advertisements, and much more. -Working with members of the broader marketing team, among many other departments, to execute targeted campaigns that drive revenue, increase brand visibility and improve the customer experience. -Using a proprietary content management system to create and edit web content, working closely with developers and UX specialists to ensure digital content is up-to-date, clear and concise.
Reporter and editor for a real estate trade publication in print in Chicago and online. Lead editor for websites covering housing market news in Boston and Miami as well as nationally. Responsible for social media, SEO and digital content management efforts. Manage staff of freelance writers, interns and photographers.
Wrote and edited news articles, whitepapers, case studies and other marketing materials for a broad range of clients. Covered news and trends in personal finance, real estate, energy and logistics. Collaborated with video, graphics and social media teams to create digital marketing campaigns tailored to unique client needs.
