Helping students improve their English speaking within a classroom environment. These classes ranged from 7 year olds up to adults. I helped prepare the adults for their English speaking Cambridge exams and guided the children through their workbooks with interactive games and other teaching techniques.
Pre-operatively assess patients for fitness of surgery on a daily basis. • Routinely care for patients undergoing anaesthesia intra-operatively. • Monitor and respond to patients needs intra-operatively. • Care for the patient in the post –operative phase, closely liaising with the recovery staff and wider team. • Participate routinely at weekends in the speciality of trauma surgery. • Continuous teaching of junior doctors, nurses and ward staff. • Current Advanced Support Life (ALS) trained. • Undertaking and delivering audits within the Anaesthetic department. • Preparing, delivering and teaching an anaesthetic course for scrub nurses to undertake anaesthetic duties within the wider theatre department. This further enhanced staffing flexibility. • Preparing and presenting regionally how too successfully implement new AA’s into an anaesthetic department.
Senior theatre practitioner specialising in the scrubbed and anaesthetic role. Extra duties include Peripheral Insertion of Central Catheters (PICC) and assisting as a qualified surgical first assistant. Recently undertaken the mentorship preparation module, allowing teaching of students and members of the theatre team. A module in adult acute care has also been completed.
