I'm a long term student of reciprocating gas compressors and enjoy the process of maintaining current status with OEM updates and transferring experiences on to like minded service technicians and machine operators. I'd welcome any approaches with regards assisting in the resolution of reciprocating compression problems.
I have incorporated a private company, Contract Compression. This is a vehicle to provide gas compression operators a credible alternate array of specialist services such as:- stand in supervision cover, small engineering project work and product/process training.
I was hired on a short term contract to replace a recently departed Compression Supervisor. This role has entailed taking charge of a small mechanical and Instrumentation/Electrical team to operate and maintain the compression assets at Arrow’s Moranbah facility.
I was originally hired as a Site Supervisor for an O&M contract with QGC. Leading the maintenance group on a 2 on 2 off rotation. This role changed in Feb 2012 when the customer blended the Maintenance Supervisory team and Mechanical & Electrical Technicians with their in-house group. My role was changed to a more managerial position to assist with the administrative duties of the contract. This ran through to the termination of our contract with QGC on 31st Dec. 2012. In the period January to June 2013, I managed a six month service contract extension with QGC. This involved managing several employees on a back to back roster on site whilst also providing service teams to complete major scheduled services as required. Full service levels for all other CSG clients were maintained simultaneously. Since then I had been the East Coast After-Market Service Supervisor for Exterran. This role entailed the day to day management of service operations, procurement and commercial administration. The role required liaison with clients regarding their service and maintenance requirements from breakdown assistance, scheduled maintenance through to full out of frame overhauls of various models of the following equipment:- • Ariel – ( Reciprocating and rotary screw compressors), • Waukesha ( VSG, VHP & AT series of engines), • Caterpillar ( 3500 & 3600 Series engines), • Frick ( Rotary screw compressors), • and an assortment of ancillary equipment including:- TEG Pumps Rotable Spares, Water Pumps & Generator sets
Sales, design and manufacture of Ariel based high pressure NGV compressors and ancillary equipment for export markets of Argentina, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia. Negotiated successful compressor packaging Technology Transfer with an Argentinean company. Design and manufacture a wide variety of compressor package components for other compressor sales companies including fin-fan heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, skids and piping systems. Design and manufacture line of products for the commercial refrigeration industry including liquid receivers, heat exchangers accumulators and multi-compressor skids.
Exclusive sales representative for Intermech Ltd in North and South America. Successfully sold Ariel based NGV compressor packages and ancillary equipment into Argentina, Canada and the USA. Lived and worked in the region- 1 year in Buenos Aires, Argentina & 2-1/2 years in Winnipeg, Canada. Associate member of Natural Gas Vehicle Association.
