Oversee entire global finance operation which includes order to cash process, inventory management, cash flow forecasting, internal process improvements, creation and implementation of new procedures and controls, CapEX analysis and budgeting, and acquisitions. Revamped entire month end close process accelerating close from 40 days down to 8 days. As an Analyst for the Financial Reporting team at Northern Trust, it is my responsibility to audit client’s financial reports to ensure the information is accurate and reported correctly. I carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and internal business impact. Follow core procedures, checklists, and client special procedures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Serve as a key subject matter expert for other partner areas as well as for our clients. I prepare, present, and deliver reports to clients as well as other partner areas. I have excelled in all training and development courses designed to better serve our client’s needs. After working with our insurance clients for three months, I was promoted to work with our wealth clients who have much more complex portfolios and requirements. One of my main roles is to address any information that is not accurate and work with relevant partner areas to resolve the problem in a timely manner. I developed very strong time management skills to meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines. I also organized and lead meetings to discuss specific client sensitive topics.
As the Director of Financial Operations at UIC Baseball, I was in charge of handling all financial paperwork and make sure our budget is up to date and accurate. Along with that, I was in charge of forecasting future budget needs and determining what transactions should take place in the upcoming year. I also was in charge of scheduling meetings, practices, and departure times, which requires constant communications with both internal and external business parties to make sure everything flows. I handled all transportation, hotel reservations, and meal accommodations for 40 to 50 people on every trip taken during the baseball season. My job also entailed making sure that every athlete on our team was compliant with NCAA Division 1 rules and regulations. I also created, executed, and regulated contracts created with UIC Baseball. This helped make sure they got compensated properly and were obligated to work our games making it a binding document. I designed, coordinated, and analyzed statistics to help our staff make more calculated decisions.. I was in direct communication with every member of the team regarding any changes that may arise in both on the field and off the field situations. Finally, handled all day-to-day business operational tasks and delegated certain responsibilities to co-workers who I was in charge of.
