• Effectively developed the business unit engineering team (from 3 to 11 people) responsible for Reserve reporting & cut-off policies, geotechnical governance, and strategic planning. • Led the implementation of business unit Life of Mine and a Strategic Planning processes to develop one unified view of long range plans across all five Elk Valley coal mines • Led the evaluation of expansion opportunities for Greenhills Ridge, and developed conceptual plans for integration of in pit crushing and conveying technology • Developed and implemented a geotechnical gap analysis risk assessment process • Business unit Qualified Person for Reserve & Resource reporting and NI43-101’s
• Effectively managed all long range (5+ year), short range mine planning/scheduling, and drilling & blasting activities • Primary liaison at the mine for integrated logistics chain (Mine to Port). Provided mine specific inputs into the production schedule as well as aligning maintenance activities across the entire logistics chain. • Accurately developed mine plans to provide the basis for IOC’s Financial Budget Process • Successfully lead the implementation of the Life of Mine Dewatering Plan including the development of a deposit wide pilot well program and a revised hydro-geological model • Successfully justified and managed $25 M of mine projects annually including preproduction development, contractor production drilling, and pit dewatering well installation projects • Manage the development and implementation of Orebody Knowledge and Strategic Mine Planning improvement initiatives (IPT)
