Greater Leeds Area
I help organisations get control of messy data functions and turn data spend back into visible business value. I am now focusing on interim, FTC, contract and fractional data leadership roles across Yorkshire, Manchester, the North of England and remote-first organisations (with weekly London travel possible). The situations where I am most useful are usually not neat. A permanent data leader may be absent, ill, leaving or not yet hired. A BI, analytics, AI or data platform project may be failing to show value. Reporting may have become bloated, inconsistent or untrusted. Data quality may be causing operational problems. The team may be capable but lacking direction. The board may simply be asking why so much money has been spent on data without enough visible return. My background covers data strategy, BI, analytics, data engineering, governance, data quality, AI use cases, stakeholder management and team leadership. I have built teams, rebuilt data architecture, created data science capability, delivered data management strategies, supported M&A activity and led cross-functional data improvement work across property, financial services, logistics, care and digital environments. I am useful where the job is to understand what is actually wrong, stabilise delivery, make priorities clear, rebuild credibility with senior stakeholders and leave the data function stronger than I found it. Typical assignments: • Interim / FTC Head of Data, Head of BI or Data Director cover • Fractional data leadership for organisations that do not need a full-time CDO • Recovery of stalled BI, analytics, AI or data platform projects • Data quality, governance and ownership problems • Reporting estates that have become duplicated, inconsistent or untrusted • Data teams needing structure, confidence, standards and direction • Board-level translation between business value and technical delivery Based in West Yorkshire. Available for Yorkshire, Manchester, the North of England and remote-first assignments.
Helping organisations under pressure, covering leadership gaps, recovering stalled data programmes and delivering value from data investments. Available for Interim, FTC, Fractional and Contract leadership assignments.
