Took over a very dysfunctional maintenance department. Introduced a new maintenance structure, delivered a new CMMS system (FiiX). Saved $100k per month of trade waste costs, by determining plant was being used wrongly, and correcting.
Brought in to manage maintenance team, and control revenue spending, and to improve site efficiency and productivity. Coached and mentored maintenance staff, introduced PPM planning into existing SAP system, to improve site efficiency, and focus resource, time and money onto key downtime areas.Downtime was being reduced (4 hrs a week on average was achieved), and production runs stabilised. Engineering stores processes and systems and master data in SAP was greatly improved and developed, during a group technical audit this area was very successful shown as a great example of work to be introduced on other BMI UK sites.
