I am currently a junior at pursuing a degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, with an expected graduation date of Summer 2027. My academic journey has not been a typical one. I started 2 years at UW Oshkosh before deciding I wanted to be a Roman Catholic Priest. I left Oshkosh and attended Saint Thomas Aquinas Seminary located in Dillwyn, Virginia. It is a seminary that forms priests according to the traditional methods of the church, meaning it is much more strict and difficult way of life. I studied there for 1.5 years after having many health problems and being forced to come home. I discovered God was not calling me to the Catholic Priesthood. Knowing this now, I am even more motivated to study at college and get my degree than before I went to seminary. My unique experiences have helped shaped me into who I am today. through discipline, prayer, study, obedience, and charity. My experiences have formed me into who I am today through discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose. My time in seminary challenged me to grow through prayer, study, obedience, and charity, while also teaching me perseverance during difficult health challenges. Although I ultimately discerned that God was not calling me to the Catholic priesthood, the experience gave me a deeper sense of direction, maturity, and gratitude for the opportunities now presented to me. Today, I am more motivated than ever to begin this next chapter of my life at UW Milwaukee, and pursue my goals in Supply Chain and Logistics.
This job is basically the same as Doordash. The only difference is, in addition to delivering food, I drive people.
I have worked at Doordash for a side job since I was 18 years old. It is a great side hustle that I can do whenever I would like. This job often tests ones patience. When restaurants are backed up and order are delayed, it can be frustrating. Also getting stuck in traffic or behind a train, all these little things we cannot control were great times to test and increase my patience. This job also greatly increased my driving skills and multi-tasking skills.
I was a lead moving specialist and was in charge of each move I was assigned to. My responsibilities included driving a 26ft box truck, managing people, working hard and long hours, writing up bills, loading trucks, having good communication skills with the customers and more. This job taught me a lot of physical skills as well as business skills. Working for a big moving company in the state of Wisconsin, I was able to learn a lot about business operations and different business skills. Above all, this job taught me a lot of hard work. Each day was very physically demanding. I worked long hours each day, and mostly every week was 5-6 days of working.
I worked here for 4 years as my first high school job. My job was to take care of the golf carts and some parts of the golf course. This job greatly aided me with my social skills. It broke me out of my shell and enabled me to easily talk to customers.
