About

Andrew de Sa is a nationally awarded oil painter with a focus on fine art created for the advancement of Beauty in sacred and residential spaces. Ade Sa is a classically trained artist working in the Washington D.C. area. The artist received training in Boston School tradition under master painter Paul Ingbretson. This apprenticeship continues a historic legacy of master painters and their pupils that traces back to the 1700’s and the French painter Jacques Louis David, court painter to Napoleon.  Andrew de Sa has won awards and scholarships on both the local and the national level including being a finalist at  both the 89th National Exhibition of the American Artists Professional League and the 84th International Exhibition of Fine Art in the Miniature. In 2016, de Sa won a nationally juried competition to attend the Portrait Society of America's Annual conference and is a recognized copyist at the National Gallery of Art in D.C. Andrew de Sa is the acting Creative Director of the Carl Schmitt Foundation, was appointed to the BXVI Council for Liturgy and the Arts and serves as an Arts Ambassador and Board Member of the Benjamin T. Rome School of Art, Music and Drama at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C
