Chartered Naval Architect, Engineer, Investigator and Safety Consultant in the Offshore Oil & Gas and Renewable sectors who relishes taking on new challenges. I thrive best when I take a holistic approach to my work, thus enabling me to use my associative thinking abilities to their best. This means that I am equally likely to use knowledge from the world of archaeology to that from the world of engineering. I am passionate about finding out how and why things have gone wrong, and how, as an industry, we can improve, in order to stop the same incidents reoccurring time and again, thus saving lives and resources. Time and again this approach has proved itself and has enabled me, for instance, to save Centrica approximately seven days of production on the Armada platform, amongst others, by showing that it was safer to bring a floatel alongside the live platform than it was to completely shut the platform down, with my findings being subsequently accepted by the HSE. Or for instance showing that the reason a person was accidentally lifted in a container on a platform, was due not only to bad radio protocols but also due to the crane driver having not been offshore for a number of years and so was no longer used to working night-shifts and so had probably half dozed off as a result of his midnight dinner. So whether you are looking for someone to help your floating renewables project team with a design problem, or your floating production asset with an integrity issue, or you unfortunately need an incident investigated, or you just want to know more about how we could help you with a miniature railway in your garden, then please get in contact on 03300011204, 07792 211328 or email me at [email protected].
