At PwC, Andrew is Asia Pacific Sustainability Leader. He also leads the Sustainability & Climate Change practice across SE Asia which he founded in 2007. It has become one of the leading advisors in corporate sustainability within the region, helping to shape the agenda as well as to manage the responses. He focuses on how sustainability impacts value and is involved in leading edge thinking on how to quantify the impact to both shareholder and societal value. He has personally delivered over 400 sustainability engagements since inception. Andrew was PwC’s global representative on GFANZ Workstream on Mobilizing Capital to EMDEs, 2024, and GFANZ Mainstreaming Transition Finance workstream, 2023. He is a Member of the Industry Advisory Panel for the Joint Sustainable Finance Working Group for the ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Market Development and the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum, 2021-2026. Andrew was the first Lead for the Awareness & Capacity Building Workstream for the CEO Action Network, a closed-door peer-to-peer coalition of leaders with a purpose in Malaysia, from 2021-2024. Andrew took a sabbatical in 2012-2013, taking a position as a Visiting Scientist at MIT's Sloan School of Management, to share practical insights into sustainability and business in the region and support the continued evolution of the curriculum. Andrew joined PwC Malaysia in 2004 with the objective to rebuild the consulting practice following its sale to IBM. He helped grow the practice from a team of under 10 to over 200, with year on year revenue and profit growth, and was the Consulting Leader for PwC Malaysia and part of the Country Management team for five years. Prior to PwC, Andrew worked at Gemini Consulting, London, on strategy and operations projects mainly with clients across Europe. Subsequently, he joined a start-up strategy consulting boutique focused on the telecommunications and technology sector, which led to him being involved in a telco merger in Malaysia and a subsequent relocation to SE Asia.
