I am responsible for the management of all safety systems including Risk Assessment, COSHH assessment, training, CI and the wellbeing of 150 operators across 3 different sites. The role is a hands-on role and involves being on the shop floor, finding out the issues the operators face and helping to put solutions in for those issues. In the time I have been in the role I have made over 160 process and safety changes on the site, from lifting devices to reduce manual handling through to lift plans for cranes
I am responsible for managing the production plan for the site. I look after 2 teams of 8 people and 2 supervisors who work on a 2 shift system. I liaise with maintenance and quality managers to ensure the smooth running of the site. I have put in training matrix and warehouse planning schedules to make sure we have what we need to hit targets.
I manage a team of 12 to 15 people in the process of injection moulding. I mange 45 different machines making over 600 SKU’s of plastic bottles, containers and lids for the pharmaceutical and medical industry. I am responsible for planning production runs, training, health and safety and stock control. I use systems such as Kaizan and Kanban to help me manage these areas and do a lot of 5S activities to drive continuous improvement on the site, We have a current turnover of approx 1.9 million pounds per month and are growing steadily
I was working a continental shift pattern managing up to 30 operators in the process of making polythene disposable aprons for the NHS, I was working on a temporary contract until Mar 2021.I was in charge of the operators covering the process, health and safety and various KPI’s. We were making in excess of 600,000 aprons in a 12 hour shift
