Andrew worked as a commercial graphical artist and art director in the marketing and then publishing field for twenty five years in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. He has extensive experience with the full range of traditional print and physical media as well as online content provision. His experience in Hong Kong and the encouragement from the financial journalists he was working with on Australia’s national broadsheet newspaper, were catalysts for him becoming interested in investing and finance. Andrew qualified as a Financial Planner in 2014 and has been an active investor since 2003. Developments in the personal lives and health of his family necessitated a move back to the UK in 2017. Andrew reinvested the capital base he had accumulated while living and working abroad and now supports himself independently through capital allocation and investing his own funds and managing a select portfolio for close friends and family.

The Deal Magazine was the The Australian Newspaper's glossy format monthly business magazine. From editorial planning through to Art direction, layout and pre-press, this role involves all stages of the production cycle. Andrew held this role for the last four years.
The Australian Newspaper is Australia's only national broadsheet daily newspaper and has been in existence for over five decades. It is one of News Limited's flagship publications in the company's home country. Andrew's duties have included; page layout; photo editing and re-touching; the interpretation of financial information for business graphics; internal and external commissioning of photography and illustration; as well as the execution of his own illustration work. Over the course of his ten years at on the paper he has undertaken these duties, or a combination of them, for every section of the newspaper and it's insert publications, at one point or another.
Was involved in all stages of the graphic design process, from account handling, concept design and finished artwork, through to pre-press and final print quotation.
