Andrew Beer is a senior leader within the University of South Australia and has taught and undertaken research in the sector for almost 30 years. His expertise lies in the areas of regional policy and development, housing research - including issues of homelessness, affordability and the operation of property markets and in the growth processes affecting regional cities. Andrew has worked as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Plymouth and was a Leverhulme Fellow at the University of Ulster. In 2013 he spent five months at the University of North Texas. Andrew has had the privilege of serving as Chair of the Regional Studies Association, and the Chair of the Homelessness Strategy Group for the South Australian Government. Andrew works at the University of South Australia and is the Executive Dean, Business.
As Dean I lead all dimensions of the work of the School, including its teaching performance, innovation in curriculum development, the production of high quality academic outputs, engagement with industry and delivering on the university's mission.

I have had the pleasure of being invited onto the Research Reference Group of the Regional Australia Institute, which was established by the Gillard Government in 2011.

Andrew Beer is the Executive Dean of UniSA Business. He comes to this role after working previously as the Dean of Research at the UniSA Business School, and within the University of Adelaide and Flinders University. Professor Beer has previously been a Visiting Research Fellow at Plymouth University (UK); a Leverhulme Fellow at the University of Ulster; and, a Visiting Professor at the University of North Texas. As a leader he is committed to making a real contribution to the economic wellbeing and employment prospects of our students, while contributing to the South Australian, Australian and international economy.
