Graduate of Carleton University's Bachelor of Arts Honours Criminology and Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Psychology Currently employed as a Special Constable with Ontario Provincial Police.
• Maintains the care, custody and control of offenders while transporting them between detention/correctional and court locations. • Ensures security and control, and deals with breaches of security or disruptive behaviour by applying restraint techniques, as required, using equipment such as handcuffs, ASP baton and Capsicum spray. • Maintains the visual and audio observation of offenders secured in the transport vehicle, and reports breaches and unusual activity during transport. • Maintains control, and searches offenders for contraband, weapons and evidence. • Maintains and updates transport documentation.
• Proactively enforce legislation and university policies as well as providing information to students, staff and visitors. • Respond to emergencies, crimes in progress, and other calls for service to provide necessary assistance as required. • Utilizes an extensive knowledge of campus buildings, grounds and operations to liaise with other emergency services and both internal and external agencies/departments, to coordinate a timely and appropriate response to incidents.
• Protecting park resources by enforcing legislation, and providing information to park visitors. Providing high-quality customer service by answering questions, delivering information, and resolving visitor complaints. • Ensuring the protection of public safety by providing leadership and support with accidents or emergencies. • Supporting park operations by helping staff with facility cleaning and campground maintenance.
• Conducted proactive patrols of the campus buildings and grounds and provide appropriate response where required. • Enforced appropriate university regulations and policies including but not limited to parking and traffic regulations. • As a student dispatcher, maintained on-going communication between safety personal including Special Constables, Campus Safety Officers, Student Safety Patrollers, and the Emergency Response Team (CUSERT). Provided support for safety personal by performing in-house searches of databases and reviewing security system recordings (CCTV, radio transmission, etc.). Responded to telephone inquiries and initiating the appropriate response of campus safety personal. • Awarded the SSP Director's Achievement Award for the 2021/22 school year.
• Provided training direction, encouragement and motivation to competitive athletes aged 5 to 18 years old. • Demonstrated swim techniques and provided verbal feedback to help athletes improve. • Communicate and collaborated with other swim coaches on athlete progress.
