RETIRED AS OF APRIL 2025 I am a versatile and resourceful engineer with over thirty-five years’ experience of both the offshore and onshore hydrocarbons industries. This has included: In the past twelve years, 9 major petrochemical projects, the most recent being the TCO FGP/WPMP Project for which I was a Project Engineer on the 3GI sub project. Of the other 8 projects, 5 were Saudi Aramco, or SA joint venture projects, including Jazan Refinery and Marine Terminal Project FEED in 2012, and before that the world scale RTIP/Sadara project for which I was FEED Area Manager for the US$ 0.4 billion industrial gases plants serving the complex with nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, carbon monoxide and ammonia. This involved development and issue of solicitations of interest, and invitations to tender, working in close co-operation with the client, and supervising multi-disciplinary inputs from the engineering team. Interface management and database development roles on PetroRabigh and Iran LNG projects. Senior Project Engineer/Lead Engineer, for onshore and offshore produced water and seawater treatment projects involving cyclonic separation, filtration, and reverse osmosis technologies, including sulphate removal applications. Extensive offshore and subsea experience with Marathon Oil UK Projects division between 1985 and 1984, on the Brae ‘B’, Central Brae, East Brae and West Brae projects, participating in pipeline route design, pre-contract, post contract, and execution phases of pipeline construction, subsea tie-ins and installations; and jacket placement. This included offshore supervision roles on many vessels in the pipelay, diving support and heavy lifting fleet. Further offshore work for other majors including Elf, BP, British Gas and Shell, including work offshore in 2000 on the Shell Philippines Exploration Malampaya Gas pipelines construction in water depths of up to 1000m. Specialties: Commercial awareness. Sub-contract management. Structuring and preparation of multi-disciplinary ITT/ITB packages. Interface co-ordination in complex facilities, including development of databases. Good interpersonal skills, particularly with respect to client liaison and leadership of multi-discipline teams. Experience of a variety of specifications and standards including Aramco Standards and NORSOK. Advanced IT skills including CAD (2D and 3D),MS Access programming.

Project Engineering Manager for seawater coarse & fine filtration packages designed and manufactured by - VWS Westgarth Limited for Samsung Heavy Industries, the main EPC Contractor for the Egina FPSO. Responsible for management and coordination of multi-disciplinary team performing engineering design, procurement, and construction. Also primary client point of contact for all technical matters. Assignment came to an end due to impact of international oil price collapse.
